Functieomschrijving

As a System Engineer you will become a part of the operations team; a young, energetic and talented group of people.

You will be managing and enhancing the production/ staging / development systems in a 24x7 environment.
You will focus on security, backup, high-availability and system monitoring.
You will also create and maintain operational documentation related to deployment, management and administrative processes.
You will stay up to date with technology developments and work with the team to adopt these to make sure you offer the customers the best possible experience.

The Required skills, experience you must have:

3-5 years of experience with managing web or SaaS application infrastructures;
3-5 years of experience with Linux. Experience with Redhat or CentOS is a plus;
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Perl, Ruby etc);
Experience with Java and J2EE based application platforms;
Experience with for instance MySQL;
Are familiar with OpenLDAP, OpenDS, Novell Directory server etc.
Experience implementing zero-downtime production deployment in a fast paced missioncritical environment;
Experience with virtualisation, scalability and high-availability;
Knowledge of monitoring (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, Splunk, etc.) and configuration management tools (e. g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.);

You’ll be stationed in our office in Utrecht area, the Netherlands, working remotely from time to time is also an option.
